Ice Box Cookies

You can tell that this is a really old recipe by the name. It's one that all 5 of my grandchildren love.

2/3 cup white sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup margarine
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Mix and store in refrigerator over night or I usually bake mine immediately.
Bake 350 degree oven for 7 - 8 minutes.

Is the cookie sheet greased or ungreased?

I have coated cookie sheets so I never grease them, but you won't need to because this has enough margarine that they should not stick. Hope your children enjoy these. Kent, Ethan, and Natalie helped me bake these just before they left for Italy. They liked them so well, they copied the recipe to take with them.
